Hello, I am Dr. Sandra Awaida

Dr. Sandra Awaida is a clinical pharmacist who has been practicing clinical pharmacy since 1999. She worked as an attending pharmacist at the Massachusetts General hospital- a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital in the intensive care unit and internal medicine department where she also served on the pharmacy residency advisory committee, the MGH pharmacy research committee and was a periodic contributing writer to the MGH pharmacy newsletter. She was appointed adjunct assistant professor at Northeastern University, Bouve College of Pharmacy taking on a leading role precepting pharmacy students on their clinical rotations. She later joined Novartis Canada, Inc. working on new product launches, developing medical information content and speaking on national meetings. Her passion for clinical pharmacy led her on to teach at several universities in the US and abroad until she found her calling when she co-founded a private cardiology practice and her Chronic Care Management, Remote Patient Monitoring and PGx consulting company, PreciGenX. Since 2008, she works relentlessly for advancing the non traditional role of pharmacists in medical practice and is a staunch advocate of a preventative approach to patient care. She is constantly looking to create value by marrying cutting-edge innovative services with the highest evidence-based medicine to achieve the best outcome for patients and increase ROI for physicians. She finds an ultimate reward helping other pharmacists step into such a role.
Dr. Awaida is a member of CPIC (Clinical Pharmacogenomics Implementation Consortium) and a signing member of the GTMRx institute. She is certified by the American Pharmaceutical Association to provide Medication Therapy Management.
Dr. Awaida is the mother of three amazing children and believes in giving back to the community. She currently serves on the health and wellness grant review committee of Impact100 a non-profit organization in Palm Beach county.
